As we grapple with the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), there are several 3D printing-related designs that have emerged to protect healthcare workers who have to interact with infected individuals.  From making mask clips to protective masks to oxygen masks, creative designs are appearing everyday.

Michael Clark that works at Argen has provided some invaluable advice on how to find files for your specific printer.

3D printer manufacturer websites have the compatible files regarding COVID-19 on their websites to help assist you to make needed products. If you don’t find anything on their website, call the company because these companies should be able to assist you.

Additional tips like cutting up bungee cords or Velcro® One-wrap straps 1/2" (12.7MM Black 330 Part# 189755  and Rip-Tie® Reusable Cable Organizer Order # W-75-1RL-BU.  These products that are normally used to organize computer cords are great to attach to your 3D face masks.

We encourage you to  print masks if you have the capability at home or work.

We thank Michael and Andrea Clark for their assistance with this project and to Argen and other companies that have done an amazing job to pivot their normal business operations into helping those in need.  They have implemented robust proactive measures for the well-being of their customers and employees and we are grateful for their contribution.

If you have a 3D project ideas to share, please contact Colleen Ster at 858-752-3286 and I'll add  your idea to this posting
